Hello Ladies
Came here to share a very sad news. You might have heard. Since it is Ramadan our routine generally gets upside down and then because of lockdown we all are staying home. Sleeping after suhoor(pre dawn meal) and then waking up late is a new normal. Yesterday as I woke up I heard the news about the plane crash. A PIA plane which was travelling from Lahore to Karachi crashed in a residential area just when it was sixty seconds away from its landing. Sixty seconds and it crashed. It was carrying more than 90 passengers, less than 10 of them have survived but are in critical condition. Some of them were stranded abroad, were brought back to Pakistan on special flights to Lahore and Islamabad. They were instructed to stay in quarantine and when their report came negative they decided to board this special plane to return home, to their families for Eid celebrations. Eid is just a day or two away (it depends on moon) We have been reading so many tragic stories. A husband had shifted his family to London a year ago because of his wife’s PhD. The lockdown was affecting his family very bad so he somehow managed them to come to Lahore, then he went Lahore to bring them back home so that they can celebrate Eid. They all were on this ill fated plane. Husband is critically ill and the rest of the family died. A young boy posted a status on facebook that that after staying in lockdown he is finally taking a flight to Karachi, the boy passed away. A Pakistani model posted a picture of herself in a plane two/three days ago with a caption,”fly high” and so far no news of her. She could be a survivor, could have passed away. It is heart wrenching , reading all of this. Someone rightly said,” can the fragility of our existence , the unpredictably of our days, the fallacy of our plans be more exposed.” The plane was literally a minute away and it happened.
They passed away on Friday, in Ramadan some of them might be in state of fasting, may Allah enter these people in paradise. We as a nation were already struggling with shortage of ventilators and crowded hospitals, owing to the rising numbers of COVID-19 patients and another tragedy.

There was one family who were visiting their parents for Eid. They had planned to surprise their parents. When their family would have heard the news they had not even thought of their own children 👶

Dear Alana thanks for sharing your memory, your mother learnt such a strong and firm belief which is with you after all these years. I'm sure she is proud of you since you are a light in the life of many people. I'll listen to it later. [loveboat.gif]

Really a sad news. May God blessed them and help their families. It's really a catastrophe just few days to Eid through these hard days of fighting Corona. May God help their family to be patient.

Alkyonides, the seven daughters of Alcyoneus. When their father was slain by Heracles, they threw themselves into the sea, and were transformed into halcyons by Amphitrite.

or/and

Phaedra who was a Cretan princess. Phaedra's name derives from the Greek word φαιδρός (phaidros), which meant "bright".
